I was born in Quito, Ecuador, in 1989. I hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Université de Bordeaux, France, supported by a doctoral contract at Inria Bordeaux, which I completed in 2021. My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Networking from Escuela Politécnica Nacional (Quito, 2015), followed by a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain, 2018).

From 2021 to March 2024, I worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the RIKEN Center for Computational Science in Kobe, Japan, within the High-Performance Big Data Research Team led by Dr. Kento Sato. During my Ph.D., I was part of the TADaaM team at Inria Bordeaux-Sud-Ouest, under the supervision of Dr. Brice Goglin. I defended my dissertation on October 7, 2021, in the Ada Lovelace conference room at Inria Bordeaux.

Since April 2024, I have been an Associate Professor at Universidad Tecnológica Indoamérica (UTI) in Quito. I also serve as an Invited Professor at Universidad Iberoamericana in Quito. As of July 2024, I have joined the Data Management Platform Development Unit at RIKEN as a Research Fellow, and I also serve as Partner Director of Research and Advanced Technologies at Wiibiq.

My research focuses on optimizing high-performance computing (HPC) applications to leverage the full potential of current and next-generation architectures. Ultimately, I aim to contribute to innovative projects that drive positive social and environmental impact toward a more sustainable future.
